The referees, mistakes and the abuses !I
It's quite evident that refreeing is not an easy job, you have to be on toes to be at best.
Sometimes they do make mistakes and rightly so, should be criticised.
But, there is no room for abuse, dedicated targeting and insult.
Mistakes did happened in the past will be there in the future too, as it's the human nature and mistakes do happen.
There might also be a lot of anger when you suffer from the wrong decisions, but it never gives you a right to abuse someone without even respecting their privacy.
Jamshedpur FC got a clear goal denied last season but their fans didn't went to abuse the refree and his family.
Their criticism was meant for the AIFF so they do something regarding it.
In India, refrees earn very much less and have to sustain their livelihood by doing other jobs.
Till the league becomes stronger so that they can earn enough and participate in more matches, they won't improve.
Also, many people advocate introduction of the VAR system in the Indian football league system, which is a costly affair.
Need funds to have it's proper implementation, but in a league which is already not profitable, adding it will make the loses go up.
Neither VAR guarantees anything, as it can be seen during the EPL, how wrong decisions still taken by so much deliberation and time wasting.
VAR doesn't improve refrees but it on the other hand corrects the mistakes only.
So to improve the refree standards we must make this profession profitable, so that they can give more time to refreeing snd stay touch with the game.
3 months league hampers the players but also the refrees too.
They are not physically fit and often struggle in decision making.
Federation needs to underline it do something like giving permanent contracts on yearly basis to the referees involved, so to make them financially stable.
Also regular training program, introduction to better techniques and coordination programs can help.
6 refree set-up on the field can be implemented so to get better picture while making decisions.
It will cut out errors and better management of the game.
All this will work only if the clubs, and fans involved will acknowledge the fact that out league system is financially not strong.
Every club is making losses, so to cut it out, we need to be patient and address this issue in generic way.
Also, abusing never helps, it only put pressure on the concerned person, harm it's growth and improvement in the future affairs.
Also, one more thing we need to understand that, criticism of any individual doesn't means hate but also you can not spread hate in the ambit of the criticism.
What we have seen from the past 24 hours that both things are done in the reverse mode, and the toxicity amongst the Indian football sphere is not helping anyone.
Whether you are a club with 1000 followers or with million followers, there is a limit to what you can defend, how much you can criticise, abuse certainly in that one!
